William Street (Manhattan)

William Street is a city street in the Financial District of lower Manhattan in New York City in the United States of America. It runs generally southwest to northeast, crossing Wall Street and terminating at Broad Street and Spruce Street, respectively. Between Beaver Street and Broad Street, the street is known as South William Street. Between Beekman Street and Spruce Street, in front of New York Downtown Hospital, William Street is pedestrian-only.

The IRT Broadway – Seventh Avenue Line runs under William Street, from Beaver Street until the line turns west under Beekman Street. This line carries the 2 3 trains, including stops at Wall Street and Fulton Street as they intersect with William Street.
